What, so now we're having a war? Why? For the hell of it? 'Cause I'd bet money that this is a classic example of a pointless war. Tch... These deities are sick bastards.

[Rokuta is sitting at the edge of a towering cliff, below which is the ocean. The waves are crashing noisily at the bottom and it's a pretty long drop to the surface. Yet Rokuta sits precariously on the edge, dangling one leg off the ledge with the other tucked underneath. He's barefoot and his shoes have been tossed carelessly to the side. He seems to just be chilling, all peaceful and relaxed and stuff. Near him is a rock that has been inscribed with several names, furiously carved into the stone bu Rokuta himself.

One might also take note of the giant white tiger lounging beside him. He's stolen Tora from her usual dwelling in Shouryuu's room to give her some fresh air.

A woman's disembodied voice suddenly speaks.]

"You are far from the City, Taiho."

Yeah, well you would be too if everyone kept shoving tea in your face.

[A gentle wind stirs his hair and clothes and he smiles, leaning back on the large tiger's side. The animal gives him a bored look. He reaches up and flicks her whiskers, causing the tiger to shake her head and snort. He chuckles.] I like it here. It sort of makes me forget I've been stuck in the same place for nine months. Besides, poor Tora needs some exercise. Shouryuu is making her fat.

[Rokuta scratches the large cat underneath the chin. She looks very pleased by this and purrs.] I bet you miss Tama, huh? I don't blame you.

[And he sighs wistfully.]

:: [accidental voice ] ::

[The sound cuts in very abruptly--clearly on accident--to the noise of fighting. The flapping of wings, the loud growling and snarling of a canine and a body being tossed to the ground a few times.]

STOP!

[Rokuta's voice cuts in, sounding desperate and frightened. The fighting sound ceases and there's a loud snarl. Heavy footsteps follow of a large animal running. From here the sound is converted to static and it's hard to tell what's happened.

Then an audible THUD followed by an eerie silence.]

O-Ouch... .... Ah...! Yokuhi! [The sound of hurried footsteps.] Y-You're....

[A breathless feminine voice answers, sounding faint.] "Forgive me. I have been stained with blood. You mustn't come closer."

But...

"I will be all right."

He attacked you! For no reason at all, he just... What's going on?

"I do not know. Taiho, please stay inside and keep Kibou close. Something is not right with Rikaku and so you must stay away from him."

But what if he hurts someone else like he hurt you? I can't just sit here!

"Your safety is more important. I will try to subdue him the best I can."

You can't...

"Forgive me. I can see the blood is beginning to make you weak. I must leave."

Wait!

[But a soft noise signals that Yokuhi is gone, disappearing into the shadows.]

... Dammit!

Ling, I hate you.

Shouryuu, I hate you too.

It's sort of unnerving to lose time like that. I swear I was only gone for a day but apparently I was gone for several. I don't like that at all. At least I got to see En.

Speaking of time... Is it true that the clock in the Underground is counting down the days until "the end of all worlds"? 'Cause I don't really like the way that sounds whatsoever.

... Hahaha... er. Well that was sort of an awkward weekend. I've never been hit with that curse before.

[The video flickers on and from the looks of it the device is sitting on the ground. The scenery appears to be the forest but more noticeable is the bare feet of a child. Eventually they move and a young boy crouches down to stare at the screen. This is Enki, although he looks nothing like the kirin what with his short dark hair and dark eyes. Additionally he's wearing what is basically rags and is dangerously skinny. He seems absolutely perplexed by the device and just keeps staring at it quizzically, as if he's waiting for it to do something.

When nothing happens he stands uneasily and begins to walk away, eventually venturing out of sight. Though faint, his voice is picked up. It's a soft and timid voice that barely sounds like his at all.]

I said I wouldn't move. I don't remember moving... I'm sorry, father. I don't know what happened.

[[ooc; Age reversal! Enki as he was at age four/five, which was about... five hundred years ago. So he's from ye olde Japan. He has "arrived" in the City moments after his father left him in the mountains, so he is kinda sickly ATM. And hungry. :(]]

[The sound cuts in with silence. Abruptly it's shattered with an earsplitting crash of something breaking against the floor.

Yokuhi's voice cuts in, sounding startled and faraway.]

"Taiho?!"

[Her voice is followed by silence. There's a faint noise of movement and Yokuhi sounds louder when she speaks again.]

"Enki...? What's the matter? What are you looking at?"

... N... Nothing. I'm fine. It's nothing...

"Enki?"

Don't worry about it.

[The sound of movement and then someone picking up broken glass can be heard. The noises are soft before the audio eventually cuts off.]

[[ooc; Technically Enki's dad is a tree, but via a fluke he had a family in Japan for a short time. So he's seeing the image of his father from Japan. Unfortunately this is the father that abandoned him in the mountains to starve to death. It's kinda freaking him out. ANYWAY posting this now before I head out for Father's Day lunch and then from there straight to work. (sob) Will be back later tonight for tags.]]

Moving on to more pleasant news, Taiki came back. I'm glad. It means he's safe again. But in exchange it seems we've lost Rakushun. ... Sorry, Youko. But you probably already knew.

Working at Natalia's restaurant isn't as bad as I thought it would be. It's actually kind of... fun. Hm.

... Hey, um... Tianzi? I hope that made you feel a bit better.

Oh, kid! Er... the one I never got the name of. Did you still want to meet in Xanadu?

Well this month sure started off with an awkward bang.

Youko, I hope you don't mind but I drowned the mouse ears in the lake and I don't ever want to see them again. I can't believe you talked me into wearing them. Keep me out of your weird fetishes next time. I didn't appreciate being tackled either.

Shouryuu, I'm not even talking to you.

Ugh. I'm going to go take a nap somewhere.

[Amidst the chaos of the circus there is a cage. Within this cage are two rather disgruntled kirin, one small and one large. You may notice the large one just keeps sighing, which earns flat looks from the smaller one. The cage has been made more homely with straw on the floor and two buckets of horse feed, one of which has been kicked over. Above the cage is a large sign that reads "LIVE UNICORNS" in multicolored letters.

Enki is not amused.]

This is humiliating.

It feels like everything has gotten quiet all of a sudden. I don't know which is worse, dealing with the curses or dealing with boredom.

Huh. Maybe I'll go visit Natalia's restaurant. Food is always a good idea.

[The audio cuts in first with loud noises of growling, snarling and tearing. After a moment the sound dies down a little and his sigh can be heard.]

Well I guess I've figured out what that furry thing was that I felt during the blackout. At least I'm assuming all this hair is coming from some youma and I'm pretty sure that was a youma before.

[Another sigh.] Jeez I was only out for a walk. I hope this thing doesn't hurt anyone.

[Have a lost kirin wandering in the streets, trying to find his way back to the apartment in the darkness. He's holding a bag of ice to his head, looking thoroughly irritated. The earthquake had knocked him from the tree he was sleeping in. He hit his head and thus lay unconscious for awhile only to awaken to a blackout. But he's fine, just sore. Thankfully Yokuhi is with him, not hidden because who could see her anyway in this darkness? The white bird like woman is very concerned.

However the woman is not visible on the video. In fact, not much is. Only her strange sounding voice can be heard. The video itself only shows vague movement that he's walking but the darkness makes it hard to see anything else. Does he even know it's on?]

"Should you be walking, Taiho?"

I'm fine. I only hit my head really damn hard... Besides, I can't stay in the forest at night anyway. ... Or is it daytime? I can't even tel--OW!

[The sound of him falling is heard and the device rattles, skidding a ways on the ground. Still not a lot can be seen.]

"Taiho!"

I'm fine. Something furry tripped me...

.... Ugh, it's just one thing after another. How am I suppose to find my way back?

[there's a prolonged silence and only faint, indistinguishable noises can be heard. then his voice, a little quieter than it normally is.]

What kind of place is this? Is it punishment?

[[ooc: Road Not Taken curse in which he didn't save Shouryuu and so he was killed. Thus En went to hell and Enki sorta ran away. So now he's kinda quiet, more reserved, thinks this his first time here and generally has become sort of an emo!kirin. lulz]]

I hope everyone is all right now from the curse the other day. The smell of blood seems less strong than it was before, so that's a good sign. I hope that never happens again.
